Rules & Regulations
Kitchen Use
- All items in the kitchen, dishes etc. belong to the Township and we ask that you do not use these items.
- There is no coffee pot for public use.
Cleaning Supplies
- Extra trash bags and a vacuum sweeper are in the storage closet located in the southwest corner of the community room.
- Please do not allow children to play in storage closet.
Decorations
- No tape or fasteners shall be used on walls or ceiling that may cause any damage.
- Care must be taken when decorating the room and all decorations must be removed at the end of the event.
- Any damage should be reported the next business day to the Township office.
Trash
- All disposable trash and garbage shall be bagged in plastic garbage bags and deposited in the dumpster located outside of building.
Key Return
- The key needs to be returned within THREE DAYS of your rental, your deposit will be held until key is returned.
- There is a drop box located at the main entrance of the Township Hall for your convenience.
Alcohol & Smoking
- Absolutely no alcoholic beverages will be allowed.
- No smoking will be allowed anywhere inside of the township facilities.
- Smoking is allowed outside building, providing cigarette butts etc. are contained and not left on premises.
Chairs & Tables
- Stack chairs on the chair rack and put tables back in the closet when you are finished.
Parking
- No parking on grass around building. Do not block fire truck exits in front of or behind fire station.
Emergency Contact
- The telephone jacks in the hall do not operate.
- You may wish to contact someone with a cellular phone to be used in case of emergency.
- If you need to contact someone after business hours you may call Marty Meert (Clerk) at (269) 998-1290.
Rental Agreement
The resident agrees to be responsible for the theft or destruction of property or equipment in and around the Township building resulting from residents’ use of the premises. The resident also agrees to hold Gun Plain Township, its officials, employees and agents harmless from any and all claims which may be brought against the Township. The Township reserves the right to cancel the renter’s reservation for the premises and Rental Agreement at any time if the room is needed for Official Township business or use. In that event, any prepaid payments and deposits shall be refunded to resident. If a resident cancels reservation less than ten (10) business days in advance, the Township will retain the deposit.
The resident’s signature on the Rental Agreement acknowledges and agrees to this document and its conditions and restrictions.
